How to Collect Wedding Videos From Guests Without Chasing Everyone Afterwards

A practical workflow for collecting guest videos from a wedding with one QR code, browser uploads, clear prompts and a shared event gallery instead of scattered chats.

By CamLove Team

Guest videos are often harder to collect than photos because they are larger, slower to send and more likely to stay forgotten in camera rolls. The solution is not to ask everyone individually after the wedding. Give guests one upload destination while the event is happening and make the action visible enough that they know where every photo and video belongs.

Use one QR code for both photos and videos

A separate video link creates unnecessary confusion. With CamLove, the same event gallery can be the place guests use for their media. Put the QR code on table cards, a welcome sign and any screen you use during the reception.

What kinds of wedding videos should you ask guests to upload?

  • Short clips from the ceremony arrival and exit
  • Reactions during speeches
  • Dance-floor moments
  • Messages to the couple
  • Behind-the-scenes preparation
  • Small moments the official videographer may not have been near
A specific prompt works better than 'send us your videos'. Try: 'Captured a funny, emotional or unexpected moment? Scan here and add it to our gallery.'

How CamLove handles video uploads

CamLove's upload route accepts common formats including MP4, QuickTime/MOV, MPEG, WebM, OGG, AVI and 3GPP. The current upload limit is up to 500 MB for an individual video file. Because venue Wi-Fi and mobile signal can vary, shorter clips are usually easier for guests to upload during the reception.

Video limits by CamLove plan

PlanCurrent video allowancePhoto allowanceAccess
Basic — €39Up to 10 videosUp to 1,000 photos3 months
Plus — €49Up to 100 videosUp to 5,000 photos1 year
Premium — €99Up to 100 videosUnlimited photos2 years

These are one-time plan prices, not monthly subscriptions. If your main goal is collecting lots of guest clips, choose the plan based on the number of videos you realistically expect, not only the photo limit.

Make uploading easy during the reception

  1. 1Place the QR code where guests sit, not only at the entrance.
  2. 2Say clearly that photos and videos are welcome.
  3. 3Mention that no app download is required.
  4. 4If possible, make venue Wi-Fi details easy to find.
  5. 5Use one short DJ or MC reminder after guests have started taking photos.
  6. 6Send one follow-up link the next day for larger clips that guests preferred to upload later.

Do not use the Live Photo Wall as a video player

CamLove's Live Photo Wall is designed around published image photos on a TV or projector. Treat the wall as the instant visual feedback loop for photos, while videos stay part of the event collection for later viewing and download. This keeps the live screen fast and predictable during the event.
